The Signature Model represents the top of our range. Based loosely on a much-loved ES 345 from back in the day as much as classic 20th century archtops by D’Angelico and D’Aquisto, this instrument is the culmination of decades of guitar-making experience with its hollow, figured maple double-cut body and carved spruce top. The Sapphire example pictured was inspired by the work of legendary Hawaii-based luthier Steve Grimes whose guitar for The Blue Guitar Collection has had a lasting effect on me.

The maple neck joins the body at the 18th fret for better access than the traditional design and a laminated stringer runs the length of the instrument for strength. Standard fingerboard is ebony but we are happy to use bog oak, ziricote, cocobolo or rosewood too. Each fretboard features our “Purity” sine wave inlay.

OGEE Speakeasy humbuckers wound in-house to suit the voice of our guitars. Standard switching is a 3-way jack with single volume and tone but other options are available including coil-taps.

Also available are custom coloured finishes and exotic wood bindings and pickup surrounds.
